Environmentalist Baba Dioum famously wrote, "In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught." In that spirit, I believe that communication is key to conservation, and this is what drives my passion for finding new ways to utilize visual and social media in the environmental field.
I am a seasonal ranger with the National Park Service, college graduate, writer, photographer, traveler, and adventurer. My work and education thus far have taken me to the glaciers of Iceland, the tropics of Honduras, and the far reaches of the Alaskan backcountry, and I hope to continue following a career path that allows me to maintain this lifestyle of adventure and exploration for many years to come.
